You’ve been logged out or your session expired

For your security, sessions time out after a period of inactivity. If you see “Your session has expired,” just log in again to pick up where you left off.

Seeing “Your Session Has Expired” — *“You’re no longer authenticated. Your session may have timed out or you may not be signed in”* — is normal and expected from time to time. It doesn’t mean anything is wrong with your account.

Why this happens

For security, you’re automatically signed out after a period of inactivity, or when your session can no longer be verified (for example, after being idle for a while or switching networks). This protects your account if you step away from your device.

What to do

  1. Log in again. Use the sign-in prompt to re-authenticate.
  2. You’ll return to the app and can continue managing your work.
  3. If you were in the middle of filling out a form when you were signed out, you may need to re-enter unsaved changes — so it’s worth saving long forms as you go.

If it keeps happening

If you’re being logged out very frequently, it may be a browser issue — try clearing cookies for the site, disabling extensions that block cookies, or using a different browser. If it persists, see Something went wrong — what to do for how to reach support.

Note: Being signed out occasionally is normal and protects your account. You won’t lose any work that’s already been saved.
