Why are some of my invoices generated automatically?

If your contract has a recurring invoicing schedule, Flamingo generates those invoices for you on a set frequency. Your client configures this — you don’t create them manually.
Depending on how your client set up your contract, some invoices may be created for you automatically on a schedule instead of you creating each one. This is common for fixed monthly retainers.
Why this happens
Your contract has an invoicing frequency set by your client:
- Recurring (weekly, monthly, and so on) — Flamingo generates each invoice for you when it’s due.
- One Time — you create a Completion of Service invoice yourself when the work is done.
Where to find your invoices
Go to Invoicing to see every invoice on your account, including any generated automatically.
Good to know
- You can’t change the schedule yourself — your client manages it.
- Auto-generated invoices may also be auto-approved if your client enabled it, which means they move to payout without a manual review step.
- If an auto-generated amount or date looks wrong, contact your client.
