Extend or renew a contract

Use Extend contract to set a new end date on an active contract. It’s sent as an amendment for both parties to sign.
To keep an engagement going, extend the contract’s end date. Extensions are handled as an amendment, so both parties sign off.
Extend a contract
- Open the active contract and choose Extend contract.
- Set the New end date — it must be after the current end date.
- Click Send for signing.
You’ll see "Extension sent for signing — an amendment has been sent via PandaDoc. The new end date takes effect once both parties sign."
Renewing
For a brand-new engagement (not just a later end date), add the contractor again to create a fresh contract.
Note: You can extend a contract that’s Active or Reinstated. The new end date applies once the amendment is signed.
