Choose an agreement and signatory (Compliance step)

1 min read · Updated Jun 2026

On the Compliance step you pick the agreement — standard Flamingo, a custom template, or your own signed contract — and choose the client signatory who signs on your company’s behalf.

The Compliance step is where you choose the agreement to use and who signs it on your side.

Choose an agreement

In the Agreement card, pick one:

  • Use standard Flamingo agreement — a locally compliant contract that covers the legal requirements for your contractor’s location.
  • Use custom template — customise the standard agreement with your own terms, clauses, and branding (select your Template).
  • Use your own agreement — upload a contract you’ve already signed with the contractor.

Set the client signatory

In the Client Signatory card, choose who signs on your company’s behalf:

  • An existing contact, or
  • A new manager — enter their First name, Last name, Email, and Job title.

The first signatory signs first, then the contractor is invited to sign.

What happens next

  • For a Flamingo or custom template agreement, you continue to Review contract and Send for signing — see Send a contract for signing.
  • For your own agreement, upload the signed PDF. There’s nothing to send, so the Review contract step is skipped.

Note: The standard Flamingo agreement is kept locally compliant for the contractor’s country. If you use a custom template or your own agreement, make sure it still meets local requirements.
