Create and manage projects

Projects let you organize the work your contractors log time against. Create projects with a name, code, and description, then track approved hours per project. Archive projects you’re no longer using.

Projects are how you organize the work your team logs time against. Each timesheet entry is tied to a project, so projects give you a clean breakdown of where hours are going.

Where to find projects

Go to Attendance → Projects to see all your projects, search them, and filter by Active or Archived.

Create a project

  1. Click Add Project.
  2. In Add New Project, fill in:
  • Name — what the project is called (required).
  • Code — a short reference; you can let it generate automatically or set your own.
  • Description — optional context about the work.
  1. Save. New projects start as Active and immediately become available for your contractors to select when logging time.

Track hours per project

The projects list shows a Time Usage column — the total approved timesheet hours logged against each project. Only approved timesheets count toward this total, so the number reflects work you’ve actually signed off on. See Review and approve timesheets.

Edit or archive

From a project’s actions menu you can:

  • Edit — update the name, code, or description.
  • Archive — hide a project that’s wrapped up. Archived projects stop appearing as options when logging new time, but their history is kept.
  • Unarchive — bring a project back to Active.

Note: Archiving doesn’t delete anything — past timesheets and their hours stay intact. Archive instead of deleting when a project simply ends.

Contractors choose a project for every timesheet entry, so keep your active project list tidy and clearly named.
