When will I get paid? How your payout date works
Your payout has a scheduled date based on your invoicing frequency (set by your client). After your invoice is funded, the payout is sent on that date — but the money doesn’t land instantly. The bank transfer adds a few business days, so plan for the payout date plus transfer time.
Once your invoice is approved and your client’s payment is funded, your payout is scheduled and sent to your bank. Here’s how the timing works so you know what to expect.
Your payout date
Each payout has a scheduled payout date. It’s based on your contract’s invoicing frequency, which your client sets:
- Weekly / Bi-weekly — paid out on a set weekday (Fridays).
- Monthly / Semi-monthly — paid out around the 15th.
- 10th & 25th (arrears) — paid out on the 10th and 25th, moved to the nearest earlier business day if that falls on a weekend or a public holiday.
There’s also a short cut-off: if a payout day is only a day or two away, your payout rolls to the next cycle so there’s time to process it.
The money doesn’t arrive instantly
This is important: your payout date is when the transfer is sent, not when it lands in your account.
- After the transfer is sent, it takes a few business days to reach your bank.
- Local transfers are faster; international transfers take longer.
- Your account won’t reflect the money immediately — there’s a normal banking delay between “sent” and “received.”
You’ll see a “funds expected by” date in the app once your payout is on its way — that’s your best estimate of when it will actually arrive.
So when should you expect your money?
Plan for: your scheduled payout date + a few business days for the bank transfer to complete. For what each stage means while you wait, see What do the payout statuses mean, and why is mine still processing?.
Avoid delays
Make sure your bank details are correct and your account shows Verified — incorrect or unverified details are the most common cause of a delayed payout. See Add or update your bank account.
Note: Two things to remember: your payout date depends on your invoicing frequency (your client sets this), and the money takes a few business days to arrive after it’s sent — it won’t show in your account the same day.
