AI misclassification check
Know the misclassification risk before you sign
Every contract can be checked for the risk that the contractor should legally be an employee. You get a risk level, a score from 0 to 100 and the reasoning behind it.
Low risk. Few signs of employment in the contract.
Medium risk. Some terms point toward employment.
High risk. Strong signs of an employment relationship.
Works in every country, with in-depth legal guidance for 38
For these countries the check draws on local statutes and the worker-status test. Everywhere else it applies general guidance.
Answer what you know — every question is optional and improves accuracy.

Custom invoice policies
Set your own invoicing cycles and due dates
Save reusable invoice preferences: how often a cycle runs, the day it ends and when its invoice falls due. Pick one when you add a contractor, and its terms are copied onto that contract.
Cycle. Weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly or monthly.
End of the cycle. A day of the week, a day of the month, or the last day of the month.
Invoice due date. The same day the cycle ends or a set number of days after it. Monthly cycles can also fall due on the first or last day of the month.
Arrears or retainer. On monthly cycles, invoice after the period closes or at the start of it.
Pay ahead of the weekend. Weekend due dates move to Friday.
A timeline example previews the next cycles before you save. Editing a preference later never changes a contract already created from it.

Compliance monitoring. Keeps an eye on your contractor relationships and flags when risk rises, so you can act early.
For the people who pay contractors, and for the contractors.
For employers
Which countries can I pay contractors in?
119 countries, through Stripe Connect. Brazil and Gibraltar aren't supported yet. Check a country with the payout calculator on this page.
What does Contract Management cost?
$29 per contractor per month, billed in USD. You pay only for active contractors, and productivity monitoring is included.
Can I use my own contract?
Yes. Use Flamingo's ready-made contractor agreement, your own template, or upload an agreement that's already signed. Contracts are e-signed in Flamingo, and you can amend, extend, renew or end them there too.
How does the misclassification check work?
An AI review of each contract returns a Low, Medium or High risk level with a score from 0 to 100 and the reasoning behind it. It works for contractors in every country, with in-depth legal guidance for 38 of them and general guidance everywhere else. It's a risk signal, not legal advice.
When do contractors get paid?
Payouts follow the invoice schedule: weekly and bi-weekly invoices are paid the next Friday; monthly, semi-monthly and fixed invoices on the 15th; the 10th & 25th arrears schedule on the 10th or 25th. Invoices need approving 2 days before the payout day. You can also pay a run as soon as it's funded. You fund in your default currency: direct debit (ACH, US companies funding in USD) settles in 4 business days, a US wire in USD usually the next business day, and an international wire in 3–5 business days. Payouts then typically reach a US bank in 2–3 business days, and banks elsewhere in 1–7, depending on the country.
What is Contract Management Plus?
Plus is coming soon at $99 per contractor per month. It includes everything in Contract Management and adds $100K indemnity coverage for misclassification penalties, plus compliance monitoring: it keeps an eye on your contractor relationships and flags when misclassification risk rises, so you can act early.
For contractors
What currency am I paid in?
Your local currency. Your client funds payouts in their default currency and Stripe converts the amount when it pays out to your bank account.
Do I pay any fees?
No. You receive 100% of your invoice amount. Funding and payout fees are charged to your client's account.
How do I add my bank account?
Through Stripe Connect when you onboard. You can add more than one bank account and choose which one is the default.
Which tax form do I fill in?
A W-9 or a W-8BEN, depending on your tax status. You complete and e-sign it in Flamingo when you onboard.
