Hiring a contractor

Add contractors, set job and payment terms, and choose an agreement.

• Add a contractorGo to Talents → Add → Contractor and complete the wizard — talent details, job & compensation, and compliance — then click Send Invite to onboard them.
• Can a contractor have more than one contract?Yes. A contractor can have multiple contracts — one after another (re-engagement) or at the same time (a second role or project). Add the new contract to the existing contractor instead of creating a duplicate, and you’re still billed for just one seat per contractor, no matter how many contracts they hold.
• Choose an agreement and signatory (Compliance step)On the Compliance step you pick the agreement — standard Flamingo, a custom template, or your own signed contract — and choose the client signatory who signs on your company’s behalf.
• Contractor vs EOR employee: what’s the difference?A contractor is an independent professional you engage for project-based or flexible work — they invoice you and handle their own taxes and benefits. An EOR (Employer of Record) employee is a permanent team member where a local legal employer hires them on your behalf, handling payroll, statutory contributions, and benefits. On Flamingo today you can hire contractors; Full-Time Employee (EOR) hiring is coming soon.
• Pre-fill contractor details from a resume or contractOn the Talent details step you can upload a resume or contract to auto-extract the contractor’s details, or fill them in manually. Either way you can review and edit before continuing.
• Set job details, service duration, and payment termsStep 3 of adding a contractor has three sections: job details (position & description), service duration (start date & notice period), and payment terms (payment type, compensation unit, rate, hours per working day, auto-approval, and invoicing frequency).
