Add a contractor

Go to Talents → Add → Contractor and complete the wizard — talent details, job & compensation, and compliance — then click Send Invite to onboard them.
Adding a contractor walks you through their details, pay, and agreement, then sends them an invitation to onboard.
Before you start
- The Add contractors permission (Talents onboarding)
- The contractor’s name, email, and country
- Their rate and how often they’ll invoice
Add the contractor
- Go to Talents → Add and choose Contractor.
- Pricing plan — pick the plan for this hire.
- Talent details — name, email, employment country, and direct report.
- Job and compensation — position, start date, the compensation unit (Annual, Monthly, Daily, or Hourly), amount and currency, and the contractor invoicing frequency (Weekly, Bi-weekly, Semi-monthly, Monthly, or one-time).
- Compliance — choose the agreement type (see below) and pick the first signatory.
- Review contract (for a Flamingo or custom agreement) — preview the PDF and send it for signing.
- Summary — review everything, then click Send Invite.
Agreement types
At the Compliance step you choose how the contract is created and signed:
- Use standard Flamingo agreement — Flamingo’s built-in template, generated and signed online through our e-signature partner, PandaDoc.
- Use custom template — your own saved template, also generated and signed online through PandaDoc.
- Use your own agreement — upload a contract you’ve already signed outside Flamingo. There’s nothing to send for signature, so the Review contract step is skipped.
Note: For the two PandaDoc options, the next step is Review contract → Send for signing. If you upload your own agreement, you go straight to the Summary. Your progress auto-saves — you’ll see "Resume auto-saved form?" if you come back later.
