Amend a contractor’s contract

1 min read · Updated Jun 2026

Open the contract and choose Edit Contract to change details like position, compensation, or notice period. A new contract is generated and both parties re-sign.

Amend an active contract when terms change — pay, position, scope, or notice period. An amendment generates a new document that both parties sign.

What you can amend

  • Position name and job description
  • Compensation (amount, currency, payment terms, invoicing frequency)
  • Notice period
  • End date
  • Additional documents

Amend the contract

  1. Open the contractor’s contract and choose Edit Contract.
  2. Change the fields that need updating.
  3. Click Send for signing — you’ll see "the following fields have been modified. A new contract will be generated upon saving."
  4. Both parties sign the amendment; the changes take effect on the effective date you set.

Note

Amendments need the Talents amendments permission. The change isn’t applied until the amendment is signed and its effective date is reached.
